Pineapple Pound Cake with Glaze

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- null pinch salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup crushed pineapple in heavy syrup undrained
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2-3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup crushed pineapple drained
Instructions
- Mix ingredients the same as with other pound cakes, adding pineapple last.
- Put cake in cold oven. Set oven at 325 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
GLAZE;
- Mix ingredients and let stand in refrigerator.
- Spread on top and sides of cake. I do this about 20 minutes after cake comes out of oven. Some of the glaze runs off but as it cools it will hold most of it.
