White Wine Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 3 1/4 ounces vanilla pudding mix instant
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a tube pan and sprinkle
  • nuts evenly over bottom of pan.
  • Mix together the rest of the ingredients except the last three and beat 2
  • or 3 minutes. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  • Cool cake about 15 minutes in the pan and then turn out onto plate. Mix
  • sugar, butter and wine together and boil 2 or 3 minutes. With a small
  • knitting needle or wooden skewer, poke holes all over the cake. Spoon
  • topping sauce over cake slowly and let soak into cake.

Notes

NOTES : I use Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix. Any cheap Chablis will do.
