Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a tube pan and sprinkle
nuts evenly over bottom of pan.
Mix together the rest of the ingredients except the last three and beat 2
or 3 minutes. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
Cool cake about 15 minutes in the pan and then turn out onto plate. Mix
sugar, butter and wine together and boil 2 or 3 minutes. With a small
knitting needle or wooden skewer, poke holes all over the cake. Spoon
topping sauce over cake slowly and let soak into cake.
