Tipsy Cornish Hens

Ingredients

  • 4 Cornish game hens halved
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 2 small onions minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Wash cornish hens and cut in half. Mix marinade ingredients. Put hens in
  • large ziplock bags with marinade and refrigerate for up to 24 hours ahead
  • of time, turning occassionally. Put hens and marinade in large pan and
  • bake at 350 for 1 hour. Finish on grill until nicely browned brushing
  • with marinade. Discard remainder of marinade before serving.
