Steaks with Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

  • 6 steaks
  • butter
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 drops Kitchen Bouquet
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  • Brown steaks in butter in iron skillet and cook to desired doneness.
  • Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  • Lightly saute mushrooms in 2 teaspoons butter in skillet.
  • Mix water, Kitchen Bouquet, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch and stir
  • until smooth. Pour mixture in with cooked mushroom and heat together
  • until thick. Place steaks in pan and cover with gravy and serve.

Notes

NOTES : 8 ounce filet mignons work great.
