Key Lime Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon Supreme Cake Mix
  • 1 small lime jello
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups canola oil
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • Frosting
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons key lime juice
  • 1 box confectioner's sugar

Instructions

  • Mix all cake ingredients well. Bake in 3 round prepared cake pans at 325
  • degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and freeze layers before icing. Freezing
  • will make the icing easy and save time in the long run.
  • To make frosting, bring butter and cream cheese to room temperature. I
  • leave out over night or at least 6 hours. Do not put in microwave. Blend
  • cheese, butter and lime juice. Slowly beat in sugar one cup at a time.
  • You may want to add an extra cup of sugar depending on decorating method
  • and weather.
