Classic Chopped Salad

Ingredients

  • 6 cups romaine lettuce coarsely chopped
  • 6 cups iceberg lettuce coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup garbanzo beans chopped coarse
  • 1/2 cup black olives chopped coarse
  • 3/4 lbs. salami slices Genoa, chopped coarse
  • 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese shredded coarse
  • 1/4 lb. provolone cheese sliced thin, chopped coarse
  • 4 Roma tomatoes small, chopped coarse
  • 8 pepperocini peppers chopped coarse
  • 1 clove garlic crushed with fork
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon creamy Dijion style mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Mix crushed garlic with salt. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Slowly add
  • olive oil in thin stream whisking until blended. Toss with salad in large
  • bowl.
