Chipotle-Brown Sugar Rub

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar based on desired level of sweetness

Instructions

  • Combine rub mixture and sprinkle evenly on both sides of meat of choice.
  • Bake meat or poultry on a non-stick surface at 350 degrees until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees for chicken, 155 degrees for beef, or 145 degrees for pork. Or grill if desired.
  • Serve with roasted sweet potatoes and a vegetable of choice.

Notes

Chipotle has heat but it also has this incredible smokey flavor that pairs well with brown sugar. Adjust the ratio of the chipotle powder and brown sugar to taste.
