Chicken Pastry

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts chicken broth or stock
  • 1 1/2 pounds Mary B's Dumplings frozen, broken into thirds
  • rotisserie chicken
  • salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring chicken broth or stock to a boil in a Dutch oven. Following package directions, drop frozen dumplings into stock and cook uncovered 35-45 minutes. Stir occasionally with a rubber spatula scraping bottom of pot and stirring to separate pastry strips. Do this more toward end when broth has cooked down and is thickening.
  • While waiting on dumplings to cook, strip rotisserie chicken and shred or chop.
  • When dumplings are done, add chicken and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover and let pot sit a while before serving.
