Breakfast Casserole (Jeani & Bob Leslie)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. sausage hot, browned and drained
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms fresh, sliced
  • 6 large eggs beaten
  • 2 cups whole mik
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 slices white bread cubed, no crusts
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Brown sausage with onions. Drain well on paper towels. Mushrooms may be
  • sauteed or stirred in raw. Beat eggs well and stir in other ingredients.
  • Add some salt & pepper. Add more cheese if desired. Pour into 9x13
  • greased baking dish and sprinkle with paprika. Cover and store in
  • refrigerator overnight. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for about 40
  • minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
