Vanilla Layer Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 extra large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans.
- Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk and vanilla.
- Pour into prepared pans and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool and frost as desired.
- Notes:
- For two 9-inch layers or a 13x9 inch pan, follow the same instructions.
