Fig Preserve Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon soda
- pinch salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fig preserves with juice
- 1 cup pecans chopped
Instructions
- Cream sugar and oil together. Beat in eggs.
- Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk. Add preserves and nuts last.
- Bake in greased tube pan at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
- After removing cake from pan, brush fig juice all over the cake.
