Grandma’s Broccoli Rice Casserole

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Course: Side Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups white rice cooked
  • 20 ounces frozen chopped broccoli thawed
  • 4 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 10 1/2 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounces Cheez Whiz
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook 1 1/4 cups rice. Saute onion in oil or butter in a saucepan. Add
  • soup and Cheez Whiz and blend over low heat. Squeeze liquid from thawed
  • broccoli. Mix rice, broccoli and cheese mixture. Spray 9x13 pan with Pam
  • and pour mixture in. Bake at 350 about 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Freezes well.
