Fruit Cake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1/3 cup jelly
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 quart pecans
  • 1/4 pound each candied pineapple cherries, & orange peel
  • 1 pound white raisins

Instructions

  • Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, jelly and milk.
  • Dredge fruit and nuts with flour mixed with soda. Add to first mixture.
  • Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheet. Bake about 20 minutes at 300 degrees.
