Caramel Apple Streusel Pie

This Caramel Apple Streusel Pie features a rich and buttery crust, an easy homemade caramel apple filling, and a toffee streusel topping.

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 1/4 cups 5.3 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 stick 4 ounces cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cold sour cream
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons ice water

For the filling:

  • 6 large Granny Smith or Jonathan apples cored, peeled, and sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Streusel topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cold butter cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits
